Ya ha llegado el verano y eso significa que muchos de vosotros estáis disfrutando o vais a disfrutar de las vacaciones. Ahora llega el momento de decidir y hacernos las preguntas de cada año, qué hacer, dónde ir, qué visitar. Si lo que buscas es un pequeño pueblo con encanto, donde desconectar, relajarte y hacer actividades, Alcalá del Júcar es, sin duda, una de las mejores opciones.
Un lugar reconocido como uno de los 35 pueblos más bonitos de España. Situado en la hermosa Castilla-La Mancha, en la provincia de Albacete encontramos este acogedor pueblo en el cual podemos realizar infinidad de actividades.
Durante el verano, exactamente del 7 al 15 de agosto, se celebraran las fiestas mayores de Alcalá del Júcar, donde podrás disfrutar del castillo de fuegos artificiales, la procesión de su patrón San Lorenzo, las divertidas verbenas con la gente del pueblo y alrededores, el famoso descenso de carretillas por las calles del pueblo, hechas durante el año por la gente del pueblo, y los tradicionales encierros de toros, donde los más atrevidos podrán participar.
Para apaciguar este gran calor actual, la mejor opción es visitar las cuevas de Masagó, del Diablo y del Garadén, y las viviendas excavadas en cuevas, donde podrás estar fresquito y combatir este sofocante verano. Adentrándonos más en su historia, hay que visitar su bonita Ermita de San Lorenzo, la plaza de toros, una de las más peculiares de la historia por su forma irregular, la Iglesia de San Andrés, el puente romano que divide la ciudad entre el casco antiguo y la zona moderna y lo mejor sin duda, el Castillo del siglo XV ubicado en lo alto del pueblo.
Una vez visitado el pueblo, prepara el bañador y las chanclas, porque nos vamos de picnic a disfrutar de su magnífico rio, el Júcar, donde refrescarnos jugando con los niños, pegándonos unos chapuzones o, porque no, hacer actividades de aventura en familia como canoa, piraguas…
Llevas tanto tiempo en el río o eres de los que no te gusta el agua y quieres hacer otras actividades. En Alcalá del Júcar te ofrecen actividades terrestres como rutas en bici, a caballo, escalada, senderismo, espeleología entre otras. Además de rutas por sus caminos de montaña en Quads o Buggy. ¿Te lo vas a perder?
